automobile engineering is a branch study of engineering whish having manufacturing , designing, mechanical mechanisms as well as operarions of automobiles.
- It is an introduction to vehicle engineering to vehicle engineering which deals with motor cycles, cars , buses trucks etc.
- it includes branch study of mechanical , electic, software and safety elements.
on the basic of load:-
heavy transport vehicle (HTV) or Heavy motor vehicle (HMV) , light transport vehicle(LTV), Light motor vehicle(LMV).

petrol vehicle :- MOTORCYCLE, SCOOTER CAR.
Diesel vehicle:- Truck , bus etc an electric vehicle that uses the battery to drive.

Rear wheel drive places the engine in the front of the vehicle and the driven wheel are located at the rear wheels are located at the rear , a configuration known as front engine rear wheel drive layout .
In this layout a front mounted engine clutch gear box unit drive a beam type rear axle supported on leaf spring through a propeller shaft with two universal joints.
